A Little About Me
A few months ago Othmar from Outdoors with Othmar Vohringer and Jeff at Lowcountry Hunting asked a few bloggers to write about their personal life and what they enjoy outside of work. I decided to list a few random facts about me. I’m sure some of you are curious and some of you are nosey like me.
- I work an 11 hour day outside of the house. (This includes travel.)
- Mark and I do not have kids. (Not by choice.)
- Many, many years ago I played volleyball and softball. (Was not a rah rah.)
- I love watching football. Go Bears! (If you watch a game with me I’m sorry for spilling my drink, swearing, and calling my Dad to yell Go Bears - he is a Colt’s fan.)
- I do not like watching the news. (It is depressing.)
- I do however know what is happening in the news. (I will never believe a person of his magnitude didn’t have any idea the strong beliefs of his spirtual leader.)
- I do not believe a strong women would stand by her husband while he admits his affair. (I truely believe it sends the wrong message to younger females.)
- I love the Young & the Restless and Bold & the Beautiful. (Thanks to my Grandma and my lunch hour friends from high school.)
- I love blogging. (I read a lot of blogs and spend hours on the weekends learning what I can about it all.)
- I have a problem with tiredness and 10 doctors still can’t figure it out. (I have turned to yoga and the health food store.)
- If you are new here, I love that my husband hunts. (Pizza night.)
- I dislike the popguns at Cabelas. (If you see me there and you have one in your hand, I’d advise you to run.)
- I love to fish. (Yes it is true. It is calming and peaceful and I love that my fish are bigger than yours.)
- In my twenties I did a photo shoot with a famous Chicago photographer who wanted me to build my calves up to do leg modeling. (I never followed thru with it because I was scared.)
- The first night I met my husband I knew he was the one. (We were then friends for 10 years before our first date. Each time he broke up with his girlfriend he would call me to tell me the story.)
- I’ve said this many times on my blog, I secretly scan open fields for deer. (Even when I’m alone in the car.)
- I feel lost without toe nail polish on. (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter - my toe nails are painted.)
- I dislike rude, intentionally mean people, those who lie and those who cheat. (You know who you are.)
- My family and friends are a very important part of my life.
- I had one more opinion that I feel strongly about but chose to delete it.
There you have it. A little peek into my history and thoughts.
Have a great day!

I like getting to know more about my blogging friends!

I always like these posts, I think they’re fun. I have to say I don’t get #17 though. I never wear polish on my fingers or toes. Everytime I try to I either smear the stuff because I’m imapatient, or chip it almost immediately.
I also want to know what #20 was meant to have been. I’m nosy like that.

I am with Blessed. It is always so neat to learn more about fellow bloggers…
And I hate liars and cheats too. However I prefer General Hospital (when you have no cable, you will watch anything) and I never paint my toenails!
Now, can we get #20? Sounds juicy enough for a post.

It is nice reading about the blogger. #6 and 7- I totally agree. #12 - that is funny. #14 - Wow, how exciting. #17 - I always have my nails painted. #20 - sounds interesting.

Great stuff Jody. I love finding out stuff about other bloggers. We even managed to find out that Jeff likes General Hospital? What the?
Anyway…good stuff. I so want to know what the deleted one was too:)

Jody,
I see that this post showed up on the Hunting News site… what is this and how do they find your posts?
Also, I should have stated that my General Hospital watching was during the first days of having a new baby at home. We had no cable and the both boys would only sleep if there was background noise, so I watched what was on. Starting in October, I think Arthur will find out that you will do ANYTHING to get new babies to sleep. I also believe he will learn many other things too!!!

Jeff, I have no idea what that site is and what to do about it…a lot of my post are being posted on there. Maybe someone else on here can tell me.
And don’t feel bad, my brother use to watch General Hospital.

Ok new dads here is some advice a fan running works wonders to help a baby sleep. I have 5 children 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandaughter and they all slept with fans, and still do. My youngest daughter went to Calif. they flew so as soon as she got her rent a car she went to WAl Mart and bought a fan. Gave it away when she was ready to come home. Also with a fan running you don’t have to be so quiet it drowns out the noise GOOD LUCK GUYS!!

Thanks Mom (aka Gram) for helping them out!

Can we get a link to the Hunting News site? It may be a spammer picking up Jody’s posts and using them for content. It happens quite regularly to me. We go after them sometimes, if they’re really annoying.
Unfortunately, with the Internet comes the spammers. Doesn’t seem to be anything you can do about that.

I can absolutely relate to #2.
I really love when bloggers share themselves with their readers. Thank you for that.

Kristine, Jeff is right that is the site.
Monique, thanks for visiting my site.

Yeah, that site would be a spam site. They’re also not attributing everything properly. They pulled the article I wrote and placed it with attribution. Guess I better get my guys to work on getting them shut down. I”ll let you know what happens.

Thanks Kristine. I wasn’t sure how to report it all.
