A Weekend Getaway
Friday, Mark and I left to spend a weekend at our summer/hunting house. I haven’t been in awhile and the last pictures taken were when we had the flood a few months back. This picture was taken from our deck during the flood. Luckily, we didn’t get any water in the house.

This picture was taken off the deck this weekend during a storm we had Friday.

And after the storm. Notice the catfish poles? You have to fish for catfish after the storm.

It ended up being a beautiful weekend.
This week I’ll be posting all about our weekend. Rides on the waverunner, fishing with the “Expert” and taking a fish off the hook before he stops breathing.
Have a great day!

I thought it seemed a little quiet over here. Now I see why. Hope you had a good time.

Even though it was a storm picture, it definitely looked better than the first picture. Glad the weekend was fun and looking forward to more posts about it.

So is there another fish fry on the schedule - I love fried catfish!

Looks like that was a good place to be last weekend. Everyone seemed to have storms though. We had a couple of doozies here.
Glad you guys had a good time. Did you cut the lawn?

Oh… Your very own “LOVE SHACK, BABY LOVE SHACK! aaaaHHHAHAAAH… A LOVE SHACK!”
teehhee… I bet that gets stuck in your brain!
Glad you had a good weekend too! That is a LOT of water.

These pictures SERIOUSLY look like they were taken near my FIL’s house. Weird.
Anyway, glad you had a great weekend. I’m sure, someday, FirDad will have a “hunting house.” Right now, “he” just has a dilapidated cabin up on his grandfather’s extra property.

wow, all that water is frightening!
So glad you didn’t have inside damage.. Beautiful pics and looks like a wonderful home away from home.

Wow. In that flood, your house was certainly more water-front than you signed up for when you bought it. Glad to hear the water so politely stopped at the deck and didn’t invite itself inside. I’m looking forward to reading about all your adventures from this past weekend.

DeeBee, I wasn’t around Friday and when I got back Sunday I had a lot of catching up to do.
Arthur, you will hear more.
Blessed, we never did get any catfish.
Kristine, I did cut a little bit of grass.
Beth, lol!
FireMom, we are in Indiana. Is that where you FIL’s house is?
Marky, all that water was crazy! There were a lot of people around us that got water. And the flooding going on around every where else is unreal.
Haley, we were very lucky!
