All I Want for Christmas…
I hope Santa was good to everyone. Santa was good to both Mark and myself. We had Christmas Eve at our house with my family and Christmas Day at Mark’s Mom’s house with his family.
One of my gifts…
In October, Cabelas opened it’s new store about 2 miles from our house. Can you guess where the majority of my gifts came from? Yep. One of those gifts was a soft air gun that shoots colored 6 mm BB’s. So this evening Mark setup a target for me downstairs to have target practice. I was actually excited about it. Mark, of course, had to test it out. After his 500th round, I got a turn.

After my 1st round, he had to sight it in. Then changed the sight, then sight it in again. Then move the target, then adjust the target. Then he had to test it out again. After his 600th round, I got a turn.

After my 2nd round, he suggested we clean up the mess. He was done with target practice.
More gifts…
At Mark’s Mom’s house it was time to open gifts. I sat down next to my Mother-In-Law as she would open a present then I opened a present. Now remember, all of Mark’s brother’s hunt and he has no sisters. She opens a gift from son #4, Kenny. Its a sweater from Cabelas. My turn. To Jody from Mark. Oh look, a zip up sweater from Cabelas. Mother-In-Law’s turn. Another sweater from son #4 from Cabelas. My turn. Oh look, a long sleeve shirt from Cabelas from Mark. She looked at me smiling with a proud look on her face probably thinking how wonderful her sons are. I looked at her with a smile, gritting my teeth, thinking I should have bought Mark a sleeping bag from Cabelas so he could use it when he spends the night here tonight.
The rest of my gifts…
All in all it was a great Christmas. We spent time with family and that is what is important. As for my non-Cabela presents, Mark saved the best presents for last after we got home.

Gotta love Cabelas! Actually they are an awesome store… we love the one we have here and the customer service beats the competition (no names mentioned…) to pieces. Now that we’ve got Cabelas we don’t even think about going to that other place! By the way - your husband sounds like mine, he needs my Christmas wish list with Cabelas catalog page numbers or item names so that if he can’t find it in the store someone there can help him find it! Our first Christmas together I got a bow and a shotgun… and nothing has changed! Don’t worry, eventually a new season will come around and you will get time to play with your Christmas present!

Those gifts sound perfectly logical. Us guys can only think of certain stores to shop in.:)
I think I need a new soft air pistol. Sounds like fun. Of course I would have to get it sighted in as well before the wife could use it.

Arthur, please make sure to take turns with your wife.

That soft air pistol sounds like fun. I may have to look into getting one of those.
Glad to hear Mark let you have a turn every once in a while.

I’m kind of jealous I don’t have a Cabela’s near me, haha, I guess I need to take a road trip to one, seems like everyone gets something from cabelas. (My brother’s gift to me was from Cabela’s and I got him something from there too!) Glad you had a great Christmas, have a Happy New Year!

Marc, it will probably no time at all that a Cabelas will be out your way.
Thanks and I wish you a Happy New Year as well.

I have never heard of Cabela’s … must look it up. But, if somebody got me a gun…of any kind….and then kept me from playing with it that long? …I just know I would have been aiming at his feet just to make him hop a bit when I finally got to play with it.
