I really miss that hour of sleep! But I love Daylight Savings Time because Chicago is on the Eastern edge of the time zone. Without Daylight Savings Time, the sun would set way too early in the summer. As it is, on the longest day of the year, the sun sets around 8:30 p.m. I am most definitely NOT a morning person, so I really like my evening daylight hours. It’s always a difficult adjustment for me when we jump ahead in the spring. I really miss that hour of sleep!

But I love Daylight Savings Time because Chicago is on the Eastern edge of the time zone. Without Daylight Savings Time, the sun would set way too early in the summer. As it is, on the longest day of the year, the sun sets around 8:30 p.m.

I am most definitely NOT a morning person, so I really like my evening daylight hours.
