Rescue Me - I Will Need Counseling
I’m not sure I’m going to be able to stand the next 7 days. It’s going to take a few stiff drinks, a few pills or a suitcase. Maybe all 3. Why? Because my husband is on bed rest for the next 7 days. He injured himself. He has a pulled muscle in his upper leg, has severe spasms and arthritis.
You all have no idea what this means. He can’t cut grass, weed whack, fertilize, water the driveway and patio down. He can’t cook, do laundry, do dishes, vacuum or dust. He can’t go out of the house or take me to dinner. He can’t do anything but lay around. This is a man who never sits until he showers and goes to bed. He makes me tired watching him. That probably explains my problem.
I know the first day he may feel rested but by day 2 he will be…
And I won’t be…
Because I’ll be…
Help…help…help. If my post are a little evil this week…I apologize now.

I feel sorry for you! Grumpy husbands are no fun… especially when they are grumpy because they hurt themselves and have been put on bed rest!

Poor Mark and poor you. Find him some good hunting shows to watch and remind him that doing what the doctor says is the best way to get better. Also remind him that, when he’s better, he owes you a weekend away somewhere with room service and expensive food and drinks.

Just found your blog. My dh just had his gall bladder removed. So I no your situation. Pick up some hunting mags that he doesn’t already subs to. Tell his hunting buddies about it. Say he is available for some free gun cleaning.

I too have a husband who never stops. I think I suffer the most when he is sick or hurt and can’t do a thing. I feel your pain. Good Luck!

Great new header!
As for Mark, I suggest that he get one of those new remote control mowers. I saw it on the news a while back, and the guy sat in his lawn chair driving it around like a kid’s toy car. However that may cause further problems when he uses it to mow all of your neighbor’s yards without their permission…

That would absolutely drive me crazy to be stuck on bed rest like that. I think the wife would be going through the same thing that you are if I was on bed rest.
