I love going fishing with my family. When my boys were young they loved taking the fish off the hook for me. Now that they have moved away I ask my husband using tips 2 and 3. I just hope he hasn't read this.

Arthur this was great, it made me laugh.

Just for the record, I don't generally take my own fish off the hook. That's mostly, however, because I go fishing with my Dad or my Uncle most often, and they indulge me.

What has happened to the women in this country? My grandmother used to whack the heads off of her chickens to feed the family, and I bet she took the fish of her own hook too.
Sounds like we have all gotten a little soft - the women for wanting the men to do it for them, and the men for allowing it to happen.
This is just another reason why you have to be careful about where you are looking for your soul mate - the mall or the farmer's market. You decide :)

It has been 30 some years since my husband and I have gone fishing together. Wasn't really a burning passion to accomplish. He did take the fish off the hook a few times, but told me if I was going to be going fishing, I would need to learn to do it myself...
In my younger days, my mother provided a fishing pole and the means to get to the fishing hole.

Been pretty much my experience if you want to do it, be "Self-Sufficient." ;)

Arthur - I think I'm going to have to talk to your wife... I've been pretty successful with options 1, 2 and 3 - of course, I also fix my husbands lunch every morning too oh and I fold his clothes and put them away so I have a few more things to barter with than some - when pleasure fails as a motivator convenience almost always works ;)
