Thanks Marian, luckily it did not get in the house. Mark went down Saturday to take a look around and try and get things from the shed and garage out and to higher ground. He wouldn't let me go with. He said it was too cold, damp and wet for me. :)

Sorry to hear you and Bob had those problems. I know how sicken I was watching all the news reports and hearing from neighbors as to how high it was getting. But as you say, you both are high and dry now. :)

Just happened by and did not know that you were going through this...I have been watching the weather and knew that there was some flooding in Indiana...Glad to see the water is going down from your home. My Bob and I have been through all of this. Before and after we got married it had flooded Bob's home and went under water twice about 19 inches. After we got married we had 7 inches of rain in a short time span and it went under 3 feet. FEMA bought us out. If your house goes under water 3 times within a five year period they will buy you out. We got out and they tore most of the houses down in the subdivision. Now we have been high and dry since 1991. Glad it did not get up into your house. We were on a concrete slab. It is a big mess! Even if it started to rain hard you could not sleep at night and sometimes the cops would come though the neighborhood and tell you to start getting your stuff up and then if the water did not come up it would take you a week to put it all back together again. No way to live, that's for sure. I told Bob it was his house or me...I was out of here. You and Mark take care and will be checking back soon.

Glad to hear the flood waters have gone down. I'm crossing my fingers that you don't find much water damage when you go down there to check things out.

CDGardens, thanks. We are planning to go down this weekend to see what needs to be done.

Arthur, that is so sweet to say you would help.

Jenn, I don't think we will be at Cabelas. But I would rather be.

I'm glad to hear things are finally turning around for you guys.

Last August I had a cousin have his house completely destroyed by a tornado, so I feel your pain and wish you all the best of luck with the cleanup. I wish I was closer. I'd be right there helping.

Glad to hear things are beginning the clean-up and reconstruction phase. Flooding and extreme weather is never fun to try to pick up after.
