Your Favorite Blogging Tips or Tools
Today I wanted to find out what are some of your favorite blogging tips or tools? What social network services do you like, do you use feeds or just bookmarks, what are some of your favorite plugins if you are using Wordpress?
I guess I am feeling a bit unorganized with some of my blogging tools. Sometimes I subscribe to feeds and most of the time I bookmark blogs that I like. I feel I’m not using the best Wordpress plugins I should be. There are so many social networking sites to choose from and I’m not sure which of those are best for me.
So I ask all of you, what are some of your favorite tips or tools?

Check out my guest blog post at the Deer Camp Blog.

Let’s see, for social networking I use Linked In and Facebook. I don’t keep either account up like I should, but I’m working to get better about it.
I like the Statpress plug-in for Wordpress.
I don’t use feeds yet, although I should set that up. I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I really should though, because I read a lot of blogs.
Stumbleupon can be a great service for getting readers. I use it pretty regularly. I also use Technorati, MyBlogLog and Blog Flux. I use Feedburner for the personal blogs. I’m not a huge fan of Digg and I’ve never seen the utility of Squidoo.
I’m not sure any of that helps but, for what it’s worth, here it is.

Google analytics is a great tool for seeing a lot of different statistics about your site and it’s free.
I love wordpress but I dont really have a favorite plugin. I’ve used a couple SEO optimization ones that have seem to work pretty well.
I use myspace but it really hasn’t generated many reads to the blog so far. They will comment on the myspace profile but not actually go to the site for some reason.
My two cents.

One tool i really like is StatCounter…especially if you have more than one site, it is great for keeping up with where your visitors come from, and can help you develop better plans for how you spend your time advertising, or promoting

I am new to all of this blogging, and sometimes I feel so lost. I think my learning curve is steep. I learned alot from Http://Courtneytuttle.com. That is where I actually learned about blogging.
I use the all in one seo tool in word press. You can get it off courtneys site. I had a huge problem with widgets. For some reason I had two versions downloaded in wordpress and when I activated widgets it totally wiped out my blog with a fatal error.
I learn a little everyday. By the way, I really enjoy your blog!

As most of you know I am new to blogging as well. I started in September knowing nothing. Absolutely nothing about blogging, html, css, etc. So next week I will be posting my work day and what tools I use daily. Maybe it will help some of you and maybe I can learn a thing or two from all of you.
Thanks Adam, it is greatly appreciated to hear others enjoy my blog.

Here are some of the plugins I like to use on Wordpress:
1. Feedburner Feed Replacement - Forwards all feed traffic to Feedburner while letting through some important User-Agents.
2. Google XML Sitemaps - This plugin will generate a sitemaps.org compatible sitemap of your WordPress blog which is supported by Ask.com, Google, MSN Search and YAHOO.
3. WordPress Database Backup - On-demand backup of your WordPress database.
4. Dofollow - Disables the rel=nofollow attribute in comments.
5. Add alt - This plugin adds an empty alt attribute to all the images that lacks one.
I read so many blogs that I have to use Google Reader to keep up with them all.
I also meet a lot of contacts on Myspace. It is hard to get them to come to my main site, but I mainly use it for resource.
